Dr. Timothy Huckaby
Dr. Timothy Huckaby, medical director for Orlando Recovery Center, is a clinical expert, and a triple board certified physician in pain medicine, addiction medicine and anesthesiology. A graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Dr. Huckaby completed his residency in anesthesiology at LSU and received additional training at Brigham and Women’s, Harvard Medical School, prior to completing his addiction medicine fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Huckaby serves as the president of the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine and has been the chairman of committees for the International Doctors of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Dr. Huckaby has spent his career helping people in times of crisis, providing both expert care and compassion. He is passionate in his belief that addictions are treatable diseases and that as addiction experts we must carry this message to all patients and all physicians, and lead the way with continued innovations that make real differences in patients’ lives.
As executive director at Orlando Recovery Center, Katie Reeley is a dynamic leader with a focus on quality care. With a diverse background in finance, patient advocacy and government regulations, Katie is able to manage a wide variety of patient and staff services. A long-time Florida resident, she is dedicated to giving back to the community by serving on the board of the Orlando Serve Foundation. She is also passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness and homelessness.
Katie has 16 years of managerial experience, having obtained her bachelor’s degree in finance and statistics from Stetson University. She also holds an MBA from Syracuse University. In her position at Orlando Recovery Center, Katie’s goal is to unite her team and help patients achieve long-term healing and renewed life purpose.
DIRECTOR OF NURSING
In his role as director of nursing, Luc Vezina works to assure that every Orlando Recovery Center nurse brings a safe and compassionate practice to patients under their care. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Edison State College. Luc also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida. At Orlando Recovery Center, he exercises the compassionate care that he developed over a lifetime of serving children, families and individuals.
Before beginning his career in nursing, Luc managed social research studies. He spent seven years researching for the National Survey on Drug Use and Health at the Research Triangle Institute. Married with three children, Luc enjoys coaching his son’s Little League team, gardening and fishing local waters.
Roberta M. Bruni
Roberta Bruni is the clinical director at Orlando Recovery Center, where she uses her expertise in substance abuse treatment and social work to better the lives of every patient she encounters. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida and New York, having spent 25 years with the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Roberta understands personalized care, having operated a private psychotherapy practice specializing in substance use disorder and related issues. Her experiences culminate to offer a research-based and motivational course of treatment for each patient at Orlando Recovery Center.
Roberta Bruni holds both a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. With solution-focused treatment methods, including dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed care, her compassionate approach helps patients from across the country work toward wellness.
